Star Meadow Animal Clinic's Dedicated Team
Our dedicated team of veterinary and support professionals is devoted to our clients and the health and wellbeing of their beloved pets.
Crystal – Practice Manager/Head Veterinary Nurse
Crystal has always been fascinated with animals since she was a child. She began her career at a very young age raising kittens, puppies, and even farm animals at home. She has worked in the veterinary field since 1997 in a variety of settings; technician in the intensive care unit, critical/emergency care, neonatal, and extensive dental training. Crystal joined Star Meadow in 2008 where her compassion and experience have elevated her to the position of practice manager. She is a proud wife and mother of three great children and shares her life with four dogs, three cats, and one horse.
Kyle – Supervisor/Veterinary Technician
We welcomed Kyle to the Star Meadow team in summer 2012. She became a certified veterinary technician in 2006, yet her love for the veterinary field started very early when she began volunteering at a Wildlife/Nature Center. She graduated from Mount Ida College with a B.S. from the veterinary technician program. Her interests include dentistry, feline behavior, and pediatric care. She has owned quite an array of animals including: dogs, cats, hedgehog, flying squirrel, fish, and hermit crabs. She lives in West Hartford with her husband Mic, her daughter, Georgia, her cat, Alex, and a rescued miniature schnauzer, Buffy. When not at work she enjoys hiking, yoga, reading, and baking.
Christi – Head Receptionist/Inventory Manager
Christi has been passionate about animals ever since she was a child. She has worked in the veterinary field for over twenty-three years in all aspects of the veterinary hospital, ranging from technician to receptionist. She joined the Star Meadow team in 2004. Christi currently lives at home with her beautiful daughter, her dog Andie, and her three cats – Ollie, Dilly, and Thomas.
Kelsey – Veterinary Technician
Kelsey joined the Star Meadow Animal Clinic team in the summer of 2014 as a veterinary technician. She graduated from Northwestern Connecticut Community College with a Veterinary Technology degree. She volunteered at the Simon Foundation for two years followed by employment for five years. She currently lives with her rescue dog, Lolli.
Kayla — Veterinary Technician
Kayla has been a veterinary technician going on ten years. She has practiced throughout Connecticut and, for a short time, in Florida. Hiking, yoga and running are a few of her favorite activities. Kayla has a deep love for all animals, yet has a special place in her heart just for kitties. She rescued a Burmese cat named "Widget", aka Squeaks, from an Orlando Cat Cafe. She and Widget share a home in Bristol. They enjoy cuddling, watching movies, and early morning yoga sessions.
Brittney — Veterinary Assistant
Brittney joined the Star Meadow Animal Clinic team in April of 2017 and has always wanted to pursue a career in the veterinary field. Since a young child, her favorite place has been anywhere with an animal by her side. Though her official title is Veterinary Assistant, Brittney can be found in all areas of the hospital always lending a helping hand.
Brittney is currently pursuing an education working towards her dream of becoming a Veterinary Technician. She shares her home with two dogs, Willow the Golden Retriever, and Vadar the Pomeranian Mix, as well as her two cats, Batkitty and Ruby. During Brittany's time off, she enjoys fishing, hiking and camping with her boyfriend, Brendin, as well as spending time with her family.
Kelsie — Veterinary Assistant
Kelsie, a certified phlebotomist, joined Star Meadow in 2016. She has spent much of her life riding and taking care of horses. Kelsie shares her life with her boyfriend, Josh, three wonderful kitties, Tille, Lillie and Penelope, and her adorable little dog, Touki. Her compassion, patience, and gentle nature make her a wonderful part of our team.
Pat – Kennel Manager
Pat has worked at Star Meadow Animal Clinic since 2005. She has worked in many aspects of the hospital from reception to veterinary assistant to boarding. She shares her home with her German Shepherd Mia, and her three cats, Mariah, Miiko, and Mote.
