Cheryl comes to us from east of the river. She worked at a private practice before going to the MSPCA/Angell Western New England Veterinary Hospital where she assumed the role of surgical supervisor. She graduated from Newbury Junior college in Massachusetts and did an internship at the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center Large Animal Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Cheryl’s special interests lie in Anesthesia, as well as cardiology as it relates to anesthesia and pain control. She lives with 2 cats, one great border collie, a young malamute, a gecko and a wonderful husband.

Karyn joined Star Meadow Animal Clinic late in 2007. A Certified Veterinary Technician, she comes to us with experience at other veterinary practices in the Farmington Valley, including emergency veterinary care. Her background is a little different from others on our team as she is an early-retiree from a career in banking where she had been a Senior Vice President in Private Banking. She is a member of the Board of Directors at the Fox Clinic at the Connecticut Humane Society. Karyn and her husband have two 20-something daughters, one of whom is a Veterinarian. They have two dogs, a ‘Caribbean’ cat, and a parrot.

Jessica has been working in the veterinary field since the age of 14 and began working at Star Meadow Animal Clinic in September of 2007. She resides in Avon with her 3 dogs (Roxy, Ty, and Ben) and 3 cats, (Charlie, Mickey and Evie). Jessica is an avid horse back rider and is heavily involved in pit bull rescue.

Catie is a West Hartford native who currently resides in Bloomfield. She graduated from Amherst College in 1997 with a degree in Biology. She earned a Master’s in Teaching from the University of Washington in 2004 with a focus in General Science and Biology. After a five-year stint on the West Coast, Catie moved back to Connecticut to pursue her interest in veterinary medicine.

Sherry Kozicki works as a veterinary assistant here at Star Meadow Animal Clinic. She has a combined 5 years experience in the field and resides with her husband east of the river. They share their home with 3 cats, (Marco, Mindy, and Katrina) and their German Shepard mix, Jassy. Sherry enjoys working with animals, fishing, golf, and weight training.
